Unfortunately, we cannot accept an overseas guarantor. If you wish to pay your rent in instalments, you will need a UK guarantor.
Warehouse Students only accepts UK guarantors and does not accept overseas guarantors.
If you do not have a UK guarantor, you must pay your rent in one instalment at the start of your tenancy agreement.
Alternatively, we can recommend a third-party company that can source a UK guarantor on your behalf. Should you wish to use a third-party company, please note that they are in no way affiliated with Warehouse Students.
You are not permitted to sublet any part of your accommodation, as per your accepted tenancy agreement. However, if you need to move out early due to extenuating circumstances, you should contact the Warehouse team to discuss the option of a tenancy takeover and the process of doing so – including any associated admin fees.
Please note that tenancy takeovers are at the sole discretion of the Warehouse Students management team and should not be assumed as automatically granted. Any decision made by the management team is final.
All our online payments are completed via direct bank transfer.
Close to the start date of your tenancy agreement, you will receive full details of how to make payments associated with your booking.
You can also check this information by logging into your student portal and checking your ‘Account’ section.
For guidance on accessing your student portal, please refer to the ‘Booking’ section above on this FAQs page, and navigate to the ‘How do I access my student portal’ section.
Making rent payments from overseas is completed via the same process as outlined in the ‘How do I make a rent payment?’ tab above. Please refer to this tab for full details.
If, for any reason, your student loan does not arrive in time to make your rent payment, please do not worry - we can amend the dates for you without any hassle or extra charges.
To do this, we just need to see proof from the Student Loans Company (or similar) that this is the case. We expect this usually to be in the form of an official letter or email communication from the Student Loans Company (or similar).
Keep an eye on when your tenancy deposit and first rent payment are due via your student portal. This information can be found on your portal under Tenancy > Account.
Both payments are usually due no later than 4 weeks before your tenancy agreement begins.
The due dates of your rent instalments can be viewed at any time on your portal under Tenancy > Accounts.
Please be aware that the portal isn’t directly connected to our accounts, and needs to be updated manually by our accounts team. Therefore, please allow up to 5 working days for this to be reflected on your account.
Before you arrive at your new apartment, there are a couple of tasks that must be completed.
Many will already have been completed, including providing contact details.
You must pay your tenancy deposit, and also your first rent instalment before arriving to check in.
Details of this can be found on your student portal under Tenancy > Account.
So we can prepare for your arrival and help you move into your new apartment as soon as possible, you must let us know your desired date and time of arrival.
This can be done via your portal two weeks before your tenancy begins with us.
There will also be a link in your arrival email which you will receive closer to the time of your tenancy begin date.
ARRIVING DURING CHECK-IN WEEKEND: Saturday 09:00-1700
When you arrive please make your way to reception and a member of our team will check you in.
ARRIVING AFTER CHECK-IN WEEKEND (DURING OFFICE HOURS): Mon-Fri 09:00-17:00
Please press the intercom button marked ‘Reception’ to the right of the main entrance doors. This will alert the team of your presence and they will come and meet you, check you in, and hand over your keys.
ARRIVING AFTER CHECK-IN WEEKEND (OUTSIDE OF OFFICE HOURS): Mon-Fri 17:00-09:00 / All day Saturday-Sunday
When you arrive, you will need to call the security helpdesk using the telephone number 0300 124 5668 telling them you wish to check in to The Warehouse Apartments. They will then instruct the out-of-hours team to come and let you in and hand you your keys.
On the next working day, please make your way to our reception to meet with the site team so that they can provide you with a fire drill update and provide further information on the building, etc.
Yes, of course. We understand that you might need to check in at any time of the day - that’s why we have 24/7 service over the check-in period. However, must notify us of your arrival if you plan to arrive outside of these hours.
